"I contacted A1 after a recommendation from my Air Conditioning Installer who had A1 install his solar system.
Paul's quote was based on a site visit, unlike another firm I contacted who quoted based on a Google Maps image!
I already had an idea of what I wanted and the A1 quote was within my budget. The quote provided all the information I needed to help with my decisions.
One of the main considerations was the install process and damage that could be caused to the roof. Paul reassured me that the company had begun in the roofing industry and branched out to Solar Installation rather than the other way round.
From quote to installation it was a few months, though the freezing winter conditions delayed other already booked installations, I wasn't pushy, I understood they were very busy.
Communication between parties with a large purchase such as Solar and battery is key. At all times either Paul or Karen kept me informed, updated, and apologised for the delays. Even to the point where Paul called me on a Sunday after I'd sent him a text forgetting what day it was! I couldn't have asked for more in that regard.
The installation was nice and quick, they were efficient, tidy and professional. It took a total of two days to get the actual install done, that didn't include the scaffolding which added a other couple of days.
The system is working as expected and already saving money. Its a shame the weather isn't playing ball too.

"Came to diagnose solar fault. 2-3 weeks to get them out.. used no multi meter or testing equipment. Attempted to reset system and said inverter was faulty. Had new inverter fitted by other company as still no quote from A1. Turns out there was 2 wiring faults and no issue with inverter! Cost us £700 for nothing as cant return the inverter."
