1. Who we are

Kilowatts.uk is operated by Vangarda Build Limited (company number 15406908), trading as Kilowatts.uk ("we", "us", "our").

2. Our platform and service models

Kilowatts.uk operates multiple service models through a single platform:

• Quote-generation tools: including solar comparison, wind power assessment, and battery bundle configuration tools that generate indicative quotes and proposals.
• Tender and lead-generation services: where user project details are shared with third-party providers who may submit quotes.
• Managed or agency services: where Kilowatts.uk may act as a commercial agent, project manager, or principal contractor, including subcontracting installation works to third parties.

3. Indicative quotes and automated calculations

Quotes, comparisons, projections, generation estimates, and financial calculations produced by Kilowatts.uk tools are indicative only unless explicitly stated otherwise.

• They are based on user-provided data, automated models, and third-party datasets.
• They do not constitute a binding offer unless confirmed in writing.
• Final pricing and feasibility may be subject to site survey, technical checks, and regulatory requirements (including MCS where applicable).

4. Solar, wind, and battery tools

Our platform includes dedicated tools for:

• Solar comparisons: collecting roof characteristics (such as orientation, pitch, shading, and construction type) to generate comparative results and configurable installation bundles.
• Wind power tools: generating wind resource data and indicative system designs based on location-specific datasets.
• Battery bundle tools: allowing configuration of energy storage systems and indicative pricing.

Outputs from these tools are informational and do not replace a physical site survey or professional assessment.

5. Contracts, agency, and subcontracting

Depending on the service:

• Kilowatts.uk may introduce you to a third-party provider, with any resulting contract formed directly between you and that provider.
• Kilowatts.uk may act as a commercial agent, arranging works to be carried out by a third-party installer on your behalf.
• Kilowatts.uk may contract with you directly and subcontract some or all of the works to third parties, particularly where specialist certification (such as MCS) or regional coverage is required.

The applicable arrangement will be made clear before any binding agreement or payment is taken.

6. Payments

Where Kilowatts.uk acts as agent or principal, payments may be taken by us and distributed to third-party installers in accordance with agreed terms. Where we act solely as a tender platform, payment arrangements are between you and the provider.

7. User obligations

• You must provide accurate contact, property, and project information.
• You must not submit misleading, abusive, or fraudulent requests.
• You must not misuse quotes, projections, or platform outputs.

8. Intellectual property

All software, calculations, documents, branding, and platform functionality are owned by Vangarda Build Limited unless otherwise stated.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for reliance on indicative outputs, indirect losses, or disputes between users and third-party providers.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where exclusion is not permitted by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Updates

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version.

12. Mo’s Solar Mission

11.1 Overview

Mo’s Solar Mission (“the Mission”) is a community-driven campaign hosted on Kilowatts.uk that allows users to submit nominations, vote, and contribute to a shared fund intended to support the delivery of a solar energy installation for a selected nominee.

11.2 Nature of the campaign

The Mission is not a lottery, raffle, prize draw, or gambling product. No cash prizes are awarded. All funds collected are used solely at the discretion of Kilowatts.uk to support the provision of solar-related equipment, installation, and associated services.

11.3 Eligibility and participation

Anyone may submit a nomination, including themselves, provided that all information submitted is accurate, lawful, and not misleading. By submitting a nomination, you confirm that you have the right to provide the information and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

Kilowatts.uk reserves the right to verify the identity of participants and nominees at any stage and may request supporting documentation where necessary.

11.4 Nominations and content

By submitting a nomination, you grant Kilowatts.uk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and publish submitted content (including text, images, and media) for promotional, marketing, and operational purposes.

We reserve the right to edit, remove, or reject any nomination or content that we consider misleading, inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, or damaging to the integrity of the Mission.

11.5 Voting, boosting, and engagement

Nominations may receive support through votes, boosts, and other engagement mechanisms made available on the platform. Kilowatts.uk reserves the right to determine how support is measured, weighted, and ranked.

We may monitor activity and remove, discount, or adjust any votes, boosts, or engagement that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, automated, artificially inflated, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

11.6 Selection of nominee

At the end of the voting period, the highest-ranked nominee may be identified as the intended recipient of support. However, ranking alone does not guarantee that an installation will be delivered.

Kilowatts.uk reserves the right to make final decisions regarding selection, including taking into account feasibility, safety, compliance, and other relevant factors.

11.7 Use of funds

All contributions are pooled into a single “mission pot.” These funds are used at the sole discretion of Kilowatts.uk to contribute toward equipment, installation, labour, design, logistics, and any associated costs required to deliver a solar energy system.

Funds are not allocated directly to individuals and are not redeemable for cash or alternative compensation.

11.8 Donations

Contributions to the Mission are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. Donations do not create any ownership rights, financial return, or entitlement to services.

Donating does not guarantee any outcome for a specific nominee and does not provide preferential influence beyond contributing to the total fund.

11.9 No guarantee of installation

Kilowatts.uk will use reasonable efforts to facilitate a solar installation for a selected nominee. However, delivery is subject to a range of factors including (but not limited to) total funds available, site suitability, structural integrity, planning permission, grid connection approval, regulatory compliance, and installer availability.

As such, installation is not guaranteed.

11.10 Site and technical requirements

The selected nominee may be required to meet certain technical, legal, and safety requirements before any installation can proceed. If a property is deemed unsuitable or non-compliant, Kilowatts.uk reserves the right to withdraw or reallocate support.

11.11 Third-party services

Any installation or related services will be carried out by independent third-party providers. Kilowatts.uk is not responsible for the performance, quality, timelines, or outcomes of any third-party work.

11.12 Delays and changes

Project timelines may vary due to factors outside our control, including supply chain issues, weather conditions, regulatory processes, or installer scheduling. Kilowatts.uk accepts no liability for delays or changes to expected timelines.

11.13 Fraud and misuse

Any attempt to manipulate voting, create fake accounts, submit false information, or otherwise abuse the platform may result in removal from the Mission, disqualification, and/or account suspension.

11.14 Right to modify or cancel

Kilowatts.uk reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Mission at any time, including changes to rules, structure, timelines, or eligibility criteria, where reasonably necessary.

11.15 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kilowatts.uk accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or disappointment arising from participation in the Mission, including where an installation does not proceed.

11.16 Governing law

These provisions form part of the Kilowatts.uk Terms and Conditions and are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
