Author plans

Partner Silver, Silver+ and Gold are for the directory. Author plans are for writers. They cap how many links in your articles and on your profile can point to other websites. Links around this site do not count. Extra links still show, they just are not followed. None of this is a ranking guarantee.

Articles have a monthly cap for new links out. Your profile has its own cap that stays put. Links you already published stay as they are. Add a new external URL in an edit and it uses one of this month’s slots.

What to write

What we look for

Write about jobs you have done. Keep it British, and keep it useful for someone quoting a UK install.

  • Get to the point in the first few lines.
  • If you put a price, grant or payback figure in, say where it came from.
  • MCS, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and the Warm Homes Loan Scheme: link GOV.UK and say who can apply.
  • No hatchet jobs on named firms, and no fake reviews.
  • We will not run a sales page dressed up as a guide.

Have a look at the Warm Homes Loan Scheme guide and the 650W panel guide if you want a feel for it.
