Help Avenue Primary School get solar

Avenue Road Extension, Leicester, LE2 3EJ

Avenue Primary School is a community primary school on Avenue Road Extension in Leicester, for children aged 3 to 11. It is maintained by Leicester City Council and has nursery classes. According to the Department for Education's Get Information about Schools register, the school opened in its current form in September 2006 following the amalgamation of Avenue Infant and Nursery School and Avenue Junior School. Because solar panels generate during daylight hours that overlap with the school day, on-site generation is a natural fit for a school building and could also give pupils a visible example of renewable energy, subject to a roof and structural survey.
